Here's what you do

First of all, sketch the size of your room. Remember to show any alcoves, doorways, stairs or fireplaces. Measure your room in two places, just in case the room is not square. Most carpet and vinyl come in 12' widths. Next, use the calculator below to estimate the amount of flooring you need.

Bring your room sketch to your nearest United store location. Our sales associates will be happy to assist you with your flooring choices and provide you with a professional quote detailing the cost of your goods, underpad, installation arrangements, mouldings (if required) and total taxes. After you have selected your flooring solution, our sales associate will provide in-home calculations to ensure the exact estimation.

Note: This calculator will not estimate the cost of the flooring. Please refer to the Online Quote section for more information about that.

* If you have a patterned carpet or vinyl, extra material will be needed to ensure the match in the pattern. Ask your United floors sales associate for more info on "pattern repeats".
